whitecliffesCouples say The Coastguard’s romantic, families say it’s great fun; but one thing all our visitors agree on is it’s well worth the trip. People fall in love with our relaxed pub and restaurant with its magnificent views out to sea and its spectacular backdrop of ancient cliffs.

We like to host events and clubs that get the locals and visitors involved. We hold regular tasting evenings so the locals can tell us what they think of our latest dishes. From time to time we hold food festivals, like the Soul to Sole festival in 2009. And we love to throw a party or ceilidh; The Coastguard isn’t so far from Scotland that it can’t celebrate Hogmanay in style. With its resident Scot, you can be sure that haggis, neeps and tatties will be on the menu for a very traditional night.

As well as feeding and entertaining our customers, the Coastguard hosts a number of groups. The Kingsdown Divers meet weekly to chat and enjoy a pint of ale, and The Cockleshell Beereos, our local kayaking group, regularly park their kayaks

Why not come and see for yourself why The Coastguard is so popular with visitors and locals alike.
