Ever dreamt of dining al fresco with your family gathered around you all on one huge table, only your patio just isn’t big enough? Need to feed grandparents, aunts, god parents et al, but don’t want to spend the day in the kitchen, let alone wash up? Our special family event table is just the answer.
Available for pre-booking for up to 12 people, our family table is situated in our garden with spectacular views of the English Chanel just under the White Cliffs of Dover. The three course lunch is served in family style platters set in the middle of the table to allow you all to dig in whilst your own personal member of staff will ensure that any additional needs are attended to. Rugs and toys are provided for younger members of the family and of course should you suddenly need binoculars or fishing nets, you just have to mention it!
Each menu is tailored to your family’s wants and needs, and pre-pared in house with seasonal fresh produce. To give you an idea here are just a few sample dishes.
Salad platters – Cherry tomato, basil and balsamic dressing, Green bean, new potato and black olive, Char-grilled summer vegetables with chilli and mint
Cold platters – Side of poached Scottish salmon with cucumber relish, Fresh local seafood with lime and coriander, Home-cooked cider ham (sliced or on the bone), Seared Carpaccio of Kentish beef with thyme and black pepper
Hot dishes – Coastguard famous fish pie, Local pork braised in cider, honey and mustard, Sussex chicken in white wine, spinach and roast tomatoes, Sweet pepper, courgette and feta frittata
Children’s dishes – Spaghetti with homemade meatballs and parmesan cheese, Fresh Cod goujons with homemade ketchup
Desserts – Fresh lime pie, Baked Alaska, White chocolate cheesecake, Celebration cakes, cupcakes, Artisanal cheeseboards
Pitchers – Homemade lemonade, Elderflower and mint spritzer, Summer Pimms, Sangria, Moscow Mule.
